Hailsham Active raised funds for Hailsham Town Council to light the new pathway around the recreation ground, thus enabling local people to use it in the winter months and for longer throughout the summer evenings. The local clubs based at the recreation ground have also been able to feel safe leaving their club sites and stepping into a well lit area. A grant of £58,333 was raised by us, with some further funding from the Council. Already we have had many glowing comments about how much local people gave benefited from the additional lighting.
